Cosmopolis, an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s alluring novel of the same name, is a contemporary thriller set in New York in a time where the city is deteriorating. Eric Packer (played by Robert Pattinson), is a high finance golden boy who spends a good chunk of the film in his stretch limo on his way to get a haircut.

The cast of the film, inlcuding David Cronenberg himself were in Toronto for a press conference at the Thompson Hotel yesterday, followed by the premiere of the film, which hits theatres Friday.

Cosmopolis stars Pattinson, Sarah Gadon, Emily Hampshire, Kevin Durand, Paul Giamatti and Jay Baruchel. Martin Katz, who produced the film with Cronenberg, was also in attendance.
