The 2014 Acura RLX is an amazing car to drive, very easy to handle, and overall a great vehicle.

One thing I really loved in the back seat were the sun blockers on both windows, so if it was too sunny, I didn’t have to hear my boys complain about the sun in their eyes. Kids whining and complaining makes any car ride seem to go on forever, even if it’s only a 15-minute ride home from school.
Another aspect I particularly look for when testing out a new vehicle is the trunk. I need room for groceries, for storing our stuff when going away for weekends or trips to the beach, and the Acura RLX’s trunk was huge. I’ve driven some vehicles where the trunk space takes away from the back seat, and this in no way did that, it was its own space and didn’t creep into or take away from any other space in the car.
Taking the RLX on the road was especially fun, I love the feeling of getting behind the wheel and hitting the open road. That’s when you can really feel the power of any vehicle. Once I hit the highway and let the RLX really open up, it was fabulous. It’s a very responsive car, doesn’t hesitate when speeding up or slowing down, hugs the corners nicely when turning, and offers a safe and comfortable ride. Making lane changes was a breeze with the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system, which lets you know if someone is in your right blind-spot with a camera in the passenger-side mirror that shows an image on the Display Audio screen of what you would see if you physically turned around to check your blind-spot over your right shoulder. Even though I always check my blind-spot, this extra safety feature also came in handy.

There are a lot of cool little tech features in this vehicle like the pushbutton start, the steering wheel-mounted audio, phone and cruise controls, the keyless access system and the flashing heads-up warning letting you know if you’re too close to the vehicle in front of you.
The 2014 Acura RLX is very similar to the Honda Acura, just with some added luxury. It’s definitely a car I would recommend to families looking for a reliable and safe car for them and their family.
The 2014 Acura RLX starts at $49,990. For more information visit acura.ca/rlx.
